Experience

After earning my BA from Glassboro State College in Special Education. I taught a variety of age groups in a Pre-Vocational Program for the  Deptford Township School District for several years.  I then started a Learning Disabilities classroom at the Logan Township School where I also taught Basic Skills.  After completing additional graduate work, I became a member of the Logan Township Child Study Team as a Certified School Social Worker. I provided individual and group counseling as well as ran the Pupil Assistance Committee.

I earned my MA in Student Personnel Services from Rowan University.  To broaden my experience I volunteered at the Rowan Career Center as well as  Salesianum School, Wilmington, Delaware. Through my extensive experience in counseling, I was given the distinction from the state as a New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor.

Currently, I am a High School Guidance Counselor and am responsible for coordinating career and college speakers at Pitman High School. Counseling is provided to students in the area of Career Development, Academic Advisement, and Social-Emotional Support. I serve as the District Liason to the Gloucester County Professional Counselors Association and assist with the Gloucester County College Fair provided by the GCPCA.  In addition to counseling duties, I have served on the Principal's Advisory Committee, Renaissance Committe and developed the Pitman High School Guidance Curriculum to meet the National Standards for School Counseling Programs.

Bio

I truly enjoy working with the students and teachers at Pitman High School. My educational background has provided me a very personally rewarding career.

I have two children who have successfully graduated from high school and college. I believe I possess a unique vantage point to help parents guide their children through their high school years and onto a career path.

The foundation for counseling and guidance practice is based on trust. Empowering students to grow, achieve and do their best in every situation is what we do. Please feel free to contact me should you need outside resources or additional information in helping your children.
